Last weekend the trading period for the QMJHL opened up. The Phoenix made their first move by exchanging Justin Blanchette with Baie-Comeau for a 1st round and 6th round choice in 2018 .
Today, the Phoenix were back in business, this time with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, making two new acquisitions.
Evan MacKinnon, the 16-year-old rookie from Sackville, had 4 goals and 2 assists in 26 games played with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies. MacKinnon was selected 19th overall by the Huskies in the 2016 draft.
Jonathan Legault, the defenceman, from LaSalle, arrives with 2 goals in 16 games played.
In exchange for these two players, the Sherbrooke Phoenix traded away the 1st round choice in 2018, acquired from Baie-Comeau, and a 6th round choice in the 2018 QMJHL entry draft.
