Phoenix acquire 4 Draft Picks from Charlottetown in exchange for Carl Neill

The Phoenix finalized a deal with the Charlottetown Islanders Thursday. In exchange of  20 year-old team captain Carl Neill the Phoenix received four draft picks from the Islanders:

  • 2018, 8th round pick
  • 2019, 2nd round pick
  • 2019, 3rd round pick
  • 2020, 2nd round pick

Neill played with the Phoenix starting in their inaugural season in 2012-2013. The Vancouver Canucks prospect played 289 games with the Birds over his career scoring 39 goals and 139 assists over four and a half seasons. He was the third captain in team history serving in the role since the start of the 2015-2016 season. Neill holds 35 records in franchise history.
