Phoenix All Prepared for 2 Game Road Trip

Today, the Sherbrooke Phoenix hit the snowy roads towards the Abitibi region for a pair of back-to-back road games.

Their first test is against the Val-d’Or Foreurs tomorrow at 7:30 pm. The Foreurs are currently seeded 10th in the QMJHL with 24 points on the season.

The Phoenix are currently in 15th place overall in the QMJHL and have 21 points. A win would mean a four point swing against their division rival. A win will also help boost the team’s confidence for their match the next day against the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (4th, 33 points).

The Phoenix have had to adjust their lineup in the absence of Nicolas Poulin, Kevin Gilbert, Chase Harwell, Nicolas Roy and Olivier Schingh-Gomez, the Phoenix have decided to recall Edouard Michaud from Granby. Michaud, a Sherbrooke native, previously played with the Phoenix against the Quebec Remparts on October 22nd.

All the games on the road will be live webcast on the 107.7 FM Estrie, you can listen by clicking here.
