Phoenix Make a Trade with Baie-Comeau

On this first day of the QMJHL trading period, the Phoenix made their first move. GM Jocelyn Thibault made a deal with the Baie-Comeau Drakkar, sending rookie goaltender Justin Blanchette to the Drakkar for a first-round pick in 2018.

Blanchette, 16, is from Ste-Julie and played with the Magog Cantonniers at the Midget AAA level. This season, Blanchette participated in 13 games, going 4-6 in his starts. The rookie had a 0.834 save percentage and a goals against average of 5.52.

Justin was a second-round pick of the Phoenix, 28th overall, in the 2016 draft.

The Phoenix organization would like to thank Justin for his valuable service and wish him the best of luck in his new uniform.
