Tigres take Preseason tilt against the Birds

The Phoenix managed to shine again with the man advantage, scoring twice out of four powerplays, but the Tigres were very opportunistic outscoring the Birds by a score of 6-2 Friday night in Victoriaville.

Samuel Poulin opened the scoring by planting himself in front of the net on for a power-play goal, but former Phoenix Chase Harwell tied it up less than two minutes later. Egor Kurbatov converted on a power play a few moments later to allow his team retire to the locker room with the advance, 2-1 at intermission.

The Tigres struck just 22 seconds into the middle period, during which they got 16 shots on net against Brendan Cregan. Jérémy Côté scored two goals.

Felix Robert will gave hope to his team with a goal in the middle of the third, but Jimmy Huntington  put his team ahead by four goals, exactly four minutes later.

The same two teams will meet on Sunday at 3 pm, at the Palais des Sport in Sherbrooke.
