Sherbrooke, September 9, 2020 – The organization of the Sherbrooke Phoenix, in collaboration with the Cogeco network, is proud to announce to its supporters that the games of the 2020-2021 regular season will be broadcast live on 107.7 FM, radio partner of the club since 2015.
On the air AND still on the web
From the start of the Phoenix regular season, on October 2nd, hockey fans will be able to follow their junior team directly on the radio on 107.7 FM, for all 60 games of the regular season schedule.
In addition to this good news, it will always be possible for our fans to listen to Marc Bryson’s play-by-play on the 107.7 webcast via the Cogeco Media app and fm1077.ca. The games will be broadcast simultaneously on both medias.
The two parties involved in this agreement are very happy to be able to announce this progress, considering the “closed door” season brought about by the pandemic.
“107.7 FM is very proud of this agreement with the Sherbrooke Phoenix, which will allow games to be broadcast on the radio and on the web. It’s one way for us to show our support for the organization during this difficult time. This agreement is beneficial for our two organizations” says Jocelyn Proulx, CEO of 107.7 FM.
As for the Phoenix, Denis Bourque, President and shareholder, assures us that it is an incredible visibility for the club in this particular season: “We are very happy to know that a greater number of supporters will be able to follow us live thanks to the accessibility offered by Cogeco, especially in these more difficult times. Now more than ever, the team needs to feel that the fans are behind them. The live radio broadcast will help make it easier to maintain a dialogue with our supporters. This is great news! “
